Moving from abroad

Are you moving from abroad to Oisterwijk, Moergestel, Haaren or Heukelom and planning to stay here for more than 4 months? Then you must register within 5 days after arrival. Your partner and/or children who will also live here must be registered as well. First you have to pregister, after that you can make an appointment.

How to preregister

Start by sharing your details through a preregistration (in English). Once you have completed your preregistration, you will receive an email. This email will contain instructions on how to schedule a personal appointment. This is required to complete your registration.

Bring with you

  • A valid identity document or valid residence permit for each person being registered
  • A travel document or other document showing the nationality of each person being registered
  • Proof that you will live here, such as a rental contract or deed of purchase for your home, or permission from the main resident where you will live. You must prepare a written statement for this, signed by both parties. Bring a copy of the main resident’s ID as well
  • For citizens from Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius or Sint Maarten: proof of deregistration
  • Were you or your partner and/or children born abroad? Bring a birth certificate that is no older than 6 months
  • If applicable: a copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree, or your partner’s death certificate. These documents must be legalized and written in English, German or French. Visit rijksoverheid.nl to learn how to legalize a document

  • Registration is final once we receive confirmation from the IND that you are lawfully residing in the Netherlands
  • Use the checklist “Moving to the Netherlands” when arranging your move
